Cruz went for the Republican presidential nomination unsuccessfully this year. Him and Trump built up a fierce rivalry and had some vicious back and forth. Donald Trump coined the nickname “Lyin’ Ted Cruz.” At the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Cruz famously refused to endorse Donald Trump. Finally, in September, Cruz said he was going to vote for Donald Trump. This is when their strained relationship began to recover.

When asked about Cruz becoming Attorney General, Cruz spokesman Catherine Frazier said that Cruz is focused on serving Texans in the Senate. She said he was in New York to fight for the conservative policies that he has long backed.

There have been claims that Donald Trump is very unorganized in the days leading up to the start of his presidential campaign. Trump disputed that claim on Twitter.

It will be very interesting to see who Donald Trump chooses for his Cabinet.
