#TBT – Bernie Sanders Says Medicaid-For-All Would ‘Bankrupt The Nation’ – VIDEO

Socialist crackpot Bernie Sanders has been pushing a Medicare-for-all bill as the only alternative to the Affordable Care Act. It’s pretty easy for most to see that the ACA has been a dismal failure. You can file Bernie’s proposal along with ACA in the group of dismal failures. Luckily this one will never come to fruition. Don’t forget, Bernie once said, Medicaid-For-All would ‘bankrupt the nation.’ At this point Bernie Sanders was being a lot more honest when he admitted that the universal health care plan would cost Americans a whole lot.

Bernie and several of his buddies, including Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris and Cory Booker seem to be on board with the “single payer” plan. Under this plan all healthcare services would be shifted from the people to the federal government. If his plan were to go into effect then all Americans would rely on public health coverage. Also, the coverage would be expanded. This would not just be medical care, but also vision and dental.

As is the norm with Bernie promises, there is no clear explanation of who will pay for all of these “free” things he promises. That will be explained in a later bill. Among things Americans can expect if this bill is passed include an extra 4% additional personal income tax, a massive payroll tax hike and an extra 8% tax hike on businesses and that includes small businesses.

These tax hikes would destroy this country financially. While Bernie of today isn’t willing to admit that, 1987 Bernie is more than happy to.

Check out this interview he gave while he was the mayor of Burlington, Vermont.

Yep, this is the same guy who is pushing Medicare-For-All.

“One of the points that we understand and I think was reinforced when we went to Canada,” Sanders told Dr. Miltion Terris, “Number one, you want to guarantee that all people have access to healthcare as you do in Canada.”

“I think what we understand is that unless we change the funding system and the control mechanism in this country to do that,” he said. “For example, if we expanded Medicaid [to] everybody. Give everybody a Medicaid card – we would be spending such an astronomical sum of money that, you know, we would bankrupt the nation.”

According to estimates Sanders’ new plan will cost an estimated $16 trillion to sustain over the next decade.

Luckily this Medicare-For-All package is unlikely to get beyond a Senate conference committee.

On the event it would get anywhere near being passed President Trump has us covered.
