Teacher ‘Grooms’ Eighth Grader To Be Father, Then Has His Baby – VIDEO

In Akron a teacher began to groom a boy when he was 14 and in the eighth grade. Three years later, she had his baby. Now she’s going behind bars.

Laura Lynn Cross, 36, was arrested on three counts of sexual battery between August 1, 2013 and September 6, 2016. The boy’s father received a tip that she had recently given birth. Soon after this charges were filed.

While the boy was in the eighth grade, Cross started inviting him over to go swimming with her. Soon after, he began spending the night with her.

Eventually Cross was able to convince the boy’s mother to allow him to move in with her as part of a “partial parental custody” arrangement. This is according to News 5 Cleveland. She told the mother of the boy that this would be a situation where she could “mentor” her son more effectively.

She used Facebook to post many photos of herself with the boy.

The boys father claimed that he reached out to authorities about the situation back in 2012, but no action was taken. He said:

It was a straight failure from the system. From the school and the police, definitely. Everybody I talked to I was frank with that my son was having sexual relationships with this woman, with a teacher. She had a hold on my son and [the police] told me he’s not co-operating with us so we no can do nothing with it. She’s a schoolteacher. To get aroused by a child basically you have to be a sick individual.

When contacted, a spokesperson from the Akron School System said they were “doing our own internal investigation going back to 2012 to determine what exactly happened and when it happened.”

Currently, cross is being held in the Summit Country Jail. Bond has been sit at $100,000.
